Ralph P. Fargnoli, Jr.
President and CEO

As a 30-year veteran of the healthcare industry, Ralph P. Fargnoli, Jr. is a respected industry leader whose experienced viewpoint and visionary outlook is sought after by executives at the most prestigious healthcare organizations across North America. His strategic and methodical approach to finding solutions to the needs of the healthcare community is what has allowed Beacon Partners to thrive since he founded the company in 1989.

Fargnoli stays actively involved with the industry through his affiliation with organizations such as the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS), College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME), and his longstanding tenure on the board of trustees for the CHIME Foundation.

Fargnoli is a recipient of the CHIME Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognizes pioneers in the healthcare industry who have made major contributions to the field of healthcare IT.

Under Fargnoli’s leadership, Beacon Partners has become a recognized leader in organizational performance improvement for the healthcare industry through expertise in IT, clinical, strategic and operations consulting. He has a keen understanding of the evolving needs and challenges facing organizations in the healthcare community, and has directed Beacon Partners to strategically evolve accordingly.

Fargnoli is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a degree in Business Administration and holds an MBA from Bryant University.

Jon Mello
Executive Vice President

Jon Mello brings more than 20 years of healthcare industry experience to Beacon Partners. As an Executive Vice President, Jon focuses on building and enhancing client relationships throughout North America and driving various growth initiatives for the company.

Prior to joining Beacon Partners, Jon served as Healthcare Executive for EMC Solutions, where he played a key role in overseeing a portfolio of healthcare infrastructure solutions representing hardware, software, and services within the healthcare industry in the US and Europe. In addition, Jon focused on accelerating EMC Cloud solutions to the healthcare industry, enabling the next wave of innovative technologies and IT efficiencies to improve patient care quality.

Prior to EMC, Jon held several hospital administrative appointments in the Boston area, including Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Boston Children’s Hospital.

Jon has served as adjunct faculty at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, with a focus on healthcare IT strategy. He has also served on the Foundation Board and the Board of Trustees of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). Jon continues to stay actively involved in the industry through his participation in the New England HIMSS organization, previously serving as Treasurer and currently as a Board Officer.

Jon received his undergraduate degree from Ithaca College, and his graduate degree from Harvard University.

Kathleen LePar, RN, MBA
Vice President of Strategic Services

Kathleen LePar has 30 years of healthcare experience. She is a registered nurse offering Beacon Partners clients clinical and nursing informatics expertise gained through broad experience in progressively responsible management and supervisory positions. She possesses management and customer service skills, providing a wide array of leadership and management support with a great depth of understanding of healthcare organizations. She also served as an education and public affairs specialist for the Medicare Peer Review Organization (PRO), responsible for developing and delivering Medicare education, along with communication and relationship-building with physicians, administrators and both state and federal legislators.

Ms. LePar is an expert in selecting and implementing advanced clinical systems, including EMR, clinical documentation and specialty systems in acute care, ambulatory clinics and behavioral health provider organizations. She effectively identifies approaches for creating integrated networks to support the healthcare continuum and effectively applies informatics and clinical solutions that extend nursing care delivery across the breadth of the patient safety scope.

Using proven methodologies for change management Ms. LePar has effectively assisted organizations in successfully reaching their goals by facilitating change management working sessions, collaborating with senior leaders to identify impacts to their functions and to assess organizational change readiness and developing project charters to guide organizations through the change process.

She currently serves as Vice President of Strategic Services for Beacon Partners, and oversees resource management, professional development, service methodologies and practice line development.

Judy Fargnoli
Vice President of Information Systems

Judy Fargnoli has over 25 years experience in healthcare administration. During her time at Beacon Partners she has provided interim executive management focused on revenue cycle and business operations to prestigious academic centers across the country. Additionally, Ms. Fargnoli has participated in numerous practice management and EMR system implementations.

Ms. Fargnoli’s background in academic medicine positions her as an expert at leading organizations to reach consensus and accomplish goals. She possesses the ability to communicate at all levels within the organization and to re-align conflicting objectives to ensure overall success.

She currently serves as Vice President of Information Systems for Beacon Partners, and manages internal IT resources as well as our client Managed Services Practice.

Christopher Kondrat
Vice President of Business Integration

Chris Kondrat’s 15- year career has been exclusively focused on the healthcare information technology sector. His extensive experience working with academic hospitals, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), community hospitals and physician group practices enables him to serve as a strategic advisor to many of the industry’s leading CIOs.  He has an extensive track record of producing strong sales results and high client satisfaction, with strong reputation among healthcare industry leaders.  He has in-depth knowledge of and experience in implementing and optimizing clinical systems with a focus on physician-centric applications, including CPOE and clinical documentation. Chris has been instrumental in establishing Beacon’s business presence in Canada and Europe. 
 
Chris received his bachelor of arts degree from Bowdoin College and his master’s degree from Boston College. 

Michael Whalen
Vice President of Professional Services

As a 30-year veteran of healthcare management consulting, Michael Whalen brings extensive HIT consulting and vendor experience to Beacon Partners. As the Vice President of Professional Services, Michael oversees the company’s vendor practices, ensuring successful engagements and client satisfaction. He has considerable expertise in understanding the benefits and challenges of systems deployment, leveraging technology to improve clinical processes, enhancing operational success and financial performance, and motivating teams to achieve successful outcomes. In addition, Michael is focused on working with vendor practice teams to implement strategic solutions, increase quality outcomes, and achieve client goals.

Prior to joining Beacon Partners, Michael was a Vice President at a healthcare consulting firm where he was instrumental in the design and development of the Epic, GE, and Allscripts practices. In addition, Michael served as the Vice President and Chief Information Officer at GE Healthcare, formerly IDX. In both roles, Michael oversaw the operational processes for consulting and technology teams, managed the deployment of large vendor systems, and served as a member of the executive team for each organization. Throughout his career, Michael has worked with complex healthcare organizations across the United States. His wealth of knowledge and ability to bridge the challenges of system implementations have assisted healthcare institutions improve enterprise performance.

Christina Bertsch
Vice President of Human Resources

Christina brings a wealth of strategic HR experience to Beacon Partners, culminated over the past 20 years in a variety of positions in HR and Management Consulting. Before joining Beacon Partners in 2012, Christina lead EMD Serono’s Talent Management & Development function and also served as the HR Business Partner for the Medical Operations organization. During these years at EMD Serono, an affiliate of Merck KGaA, Christina was responsible for developing and implementing the Talent Management strategy and worked closely with global HR leadership to design company wide initiatives and programs related to employee engagement, performance management, succession planning, competency models and career paths, and high potential programs. She also provided change management consulting to senior leadership and led the award winning Corporate University.

Prior to EMD Serono, Christina was with Mercer Human Resource Consulting’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice where she provided project management and advisory services around human resource issues that were a direct result of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, IPOs or business process outsourcing. Christina also worked for Gartner’s consulting organization within the Human Capital Management practice where she provided strategic guidance to senior and executive level clients focused on improving employee performance, retention and satisfaction, optimizing organization structures, managing major organization change and transition efforts, and developing competency based HR programs and initiatives.

Previous to her employment at Gartner, Christina established herself within the HR and HR/IT consulting industries through her employment with Brookhaven National Laboratory’s Human Factors and Performance Analysis Group, the Professional Development Group, and the Yankee Group. During her career, Christina has been asked to present her research and ideas at major industry conferences as well as to private organizations, and has been quoted by the trade press.

Christina’s received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and her Master of Arts in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Hofstra University.

Kimberly Post
Chief Financial Officer

Kimberly is a CPA with over thirteen years of financial and accounting experience. She leads the financial operations at Beacon Partners. Prior to joining Beacon Partners she worked at a public accounting firm, which provided exposure to various industries including professional services, construction, real estate and law firms. Her work included audits, financial statement preparation, as well as corporate and personal taxes. She began her career at Arthur Andersen in both the tax and audit departments. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Babson College. She is a member of the MSCPA and on the steering committee of the CFO roundtable.

Jason Shniderson
Director of Marketing and Communications

Jason Shniderson brings more than 15 years of experience in marketing communications strategy, branding, advertising and campaign management to Beacon Partners. Jason oversees the management of all Marketing and Communications initiatives and leads the effort to promote the Beacon Partners brand. In addition, he is focused on working with internal and external partners to help achieve the company’s strategic goals by increasing brand awareness and fostering continued growth.

Prior to joining Beacon Partners, Jason served as Advertising and Marketing Manager at Tufts Health Plan, overseeing advertising and marketing programs for one of the top ranked health insurance companies in the country. As part of this role, Jason managed a variety of marketing communications programs around healthcare reform, wellness, and individual channel products, supporting the sales team.

Before joining Tufts Health Plan, Jason devoted ten years of his career working in marketing communications and PR agencies. He began his career at Ruder Finn, building awareness and market presence for companies in Israel and the U.S. before moving to other agencies, including Organic Inc., Connors Communications and Synergy Network. As a Senior Account Manager at Synergy Network, he successfully led the strategic direction for new and existing accounts. Jason’s wide range of marketing experience and work with clients in the healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical, and high-tech industries provides an important perspective to the Beacon Partners management team.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Science degree in International Relations and Speech Communications from Syracuse University.
